Talent management is a major concern for many organisations and it will become even more important in the future
In today’s corporate world, talent management is a major concern for many organisations and it will become even more important in the future. All organisations are competing for a competitive advantage in regards to product development which means attracting the right talent to the organisation. This essay will look at the definition of talent management, and three talent management frameworks that will help companies in the future.
So to break down talent management, the definition’s of both talent and management has to be defined. Coffman as have defined talent by definition:
“A recurring pattern of thought, feeling or behavior that can be productively applied.” (Coffman, 2012)
Stanley Vance definition of management is:
“Management is simply the process of decision-making and control over the actions of human beings for the express purpose of attaining predetermined goals.”
So when you break down the terms talent and management, having a recurring pattern of behaviour, which can be utilised by management to obtain predetermined goals is the responsibility of the organisation. The organisation has to be clear about its goals to its entire talented staff…
