Change the Inner You
This morning I read the article on: 7 Changes For Higher Productivity (Pozin, 2012). My reflections on this article, is that I really need to believe and live religiously by the seven steps, or I just loose a day. For example, yesterday my workday was flooded with meetings, and I got no work done due to the fact that all the meetings went over time. I also missed my meeting that I called, because I was walking between the two meetings and got distracted and had a coffee with the attendee’s of the previous meeting. So when I saw this article in the morning, I said “yes” this makes more sense. I should do this.
So my plan is to do the 7 steps in the article are:
1. Working Backwards
2. Stop multitasking
3. Eliminate distractions.
4. Check your email on a schedule.
5. Use the phone.
6. Create an agenda.
7. Work in intervals

I really like step 4 and also step 6. At the moment, my email box is constantly open, and I sit there emailing people, and watching my inbox on my second screen. The email box is a distraction in itself, and I should just add a task that I get emailed onto my to do list, and close it down.
Step Number 6 is a great step, because I feel that I don’t do this well. I have an iPhone, so I am constantly looking at it, when I first get up in the morning, to see what emails have arrived. Instead, I…
